Martin Butterworth is the Managing Director of the strategic design and property consulting company, Space Syntax Australia. He is an architect who trained at the School of Architecture at Queensland University and the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies at University College London.

Following project design experience while practising in large architecture firms in Brisbane and London, then in his private practice, he established Space Syntax Australia in 2000. He advises major public and private sector clients in his field of expertise of movement economy design for urban regeneration.
