New London Architecture - Public City Exhibition
Store Street, London WC1E
Space Syntax displayed two of their projects at the Public City Exhibition, hosted at the New London Architecture Gallery.
All over London new projects for public space improvement are taking place. On the 19th January, New London Architecture (NLA) opened its doors to their latest exhibition called "Public City", which looks at new projects and proposals, and investigates the impact they will have on the way we experience and use the city.
With a range of projects on display, Space Syntax were delighted to have been asked to contribute two. The "Greater London Spatial Accessibility Model" (see image) is a prominent feature in the exhibition. Derived from this model, the "London Pedestrian Routemap" is a concept for a user-friendly pedestrian map of London and is currently being taken forward through work with Transport for London.
To coincide with the exhibition, the NLA are also hosting a number of breakfast seminars. On Wednesday 28th February at 8.30am, Space Syntax Director, Professor Bill Hillier, will give a talk titled "How Movement Makes Places". For more information, visit the NLA website.
