Space Syntax delivers evidence-based planning and design advice at all stages and all scales of development, from financial risk assessment, conceptual design and options appraisal to detailed design and post-implementation audits. We work closely with local and national government departments, property developers, investors, architects, engineers and planners.
Through ground-breaking research and international practice, we have pioneered the use of new computer modelling technologies that forecast the essential characteristics of urban and building sustainability. These include movement patterns (pedestrians, vehicles and cycles), natural surveillance and land use viability. Our analysis has been accepted as objective evidence in planning inquiries and our evidence-seeking ethos has influenced design thinking and policy drafting throughout the world.
