Space Syntax wins Crime Reduction Award
Space Syntax’s work with The City of Gosnells in Western Australia has helped to win two Crime and Violence awards from the Australian Institute of Criminology. The City of Gosnells’ “Safe City” strategy was launched after a three-year study by Space Syntax into the relationship between housing layout and crime patterns, believed to be the largest urban crime study ever undertaken in the southern hemisphere.

Envelope, A Building Design Publication, Outlining the Masterplan for More London
More London's initial masterplan predated the City Hall, which later became the keystone of the project. Its major objectives include the creation of quality public space and pedestrian routes, capitalising on views and light, and provision of mixed uses. With the input of Space Syntax, the architectural outfit that specialises in a blend of architectural, transportation and environmental design, a major diagonal route from Tooley Street to Tower Bridge was defined.

Masterplan for Colchester's St Botolphs Quarter
The St. Botolph's Masterplan sets out a vision for the development of new cultural, retail, residential and visitor facilities in Colchester. Twelve months after winning an invited competition for the project, a team of consultants led by Space Syntax has produced a design that establishes significant new developments whilst respecting the town's immense historic value.

Australia's National Local Government Newspaper Online, Gosnells wins the fight against crime
The City of Gosnells in Western Australia has received two Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Certificates of Merit for its SafeCity Urban Design Strategy. The strategy was launched after a Space Syntax study by the University College of London and Murdoch University, which Council believes was the largest urban crime study ever undertaken in the southern hemisphere.
