Pete

Pete Ferguson is a geographer and urban designer and joined Space Syntax in September 2006.

Since joining Space Syntax, Pete has been involved in the production of a strategic movement framework for Croydon town centre and is currently working on a baseline conditions and masterplan impact survey for a mixed use development in Lewes.

Pete worked for two years with REAL associates on the production of the second urban design compendium (due to be published in early 2007) and for the Network Strategy department of the Highways Agency. He has been a resource researcher for urban design information (RUDI), has undertaken temporary work experience with Birmingham City Council’s city design team, and was the president of the students of urban design society 2005/2006.

Pete completed a BSc in Geography at the University of Birmingham and an MA in Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University, focusing on the impact of spatial configuration on knowledge transfer in the public realm.
