Eime

Eime Tobari studied Architectural Planning in Japan and obtained a PhD in 2003. She is a qualified architect in Japan and joined Space Syntax in November 2007 as a Design Consultant.

Her research experience is broad, ranging from health/social care buildings to urban space from an environmental behaviour perspective. Her interests extend further to social networks and social dynamics. She is currently carrying out another research PhD in Sociology at the University of Greenwich focusing on the civic engagement of older people in the UK.

She is co-author of the book Designing Living Environments for Older People published in Japanese in 2002.
